Wedding Bells

I am so excited announce that my custom wedding invitations will be a part of the upcoming bridal event at Williams Sonoma in Upper Montclair on Sunday June 22nd. I will be at the store from 12-4 displaying my custom invitations. I will be speaking about what I offer and how it is truly unique. As an interior designer I apply the same skills I would use in any interior project for client invitations. Using my skills with 3D rendering and illustration -- "Anything imagined can be created." It is my role to listen to my clients and creatively dream up a product that both reflects the vision of my client and myself the creator. I work one on one with my clients in a process that creates comfort and trust because I know how truly special this particular day is for any couple. I can create an entire package that encompasses all invitations associated with the day - the initial announcement, save the date, wedding invitation, and thank you thereafter.

Clients are able to either pick and chose from my existing portfolio of work and mix and match as needed. Clients may also select to have me create a design to specifically match who they are. I mix my skills as an artist and 3d computer renderings to create a really unique look. For instance, if a client recently visited Pairs and fell in love with it I could create a custom rendering of a French bistro with so much detail that I could include the clients' favorite bottle of wine on a table! What makes me so unique is I can truly offer a unique product that represents the client. My job as an interior designer is to speak for my clients which is what make me so good at creating these invitations!

Below are a few of my latest designs:

Custom "Save the Date" 3D computer rendering created for a client. They wanted a safari theme with brown and purple colors. I used actual products I would use in an interior space! The wallpapers are from Phillip Jeffries and the 2 cabinets at the front are from Jonathan Adler. I had the idea to add the balloons to create some fun within the space!

This particular client wanted to create a "Cinderella" theme as they really like Disney. I wanted to create a sophisticated version of the fairytale. In this particular renderings I designed and built a whimsical carriage with lanterns and the backdrop is an enchanted forest. This was such a fun project to work on! I added the words "Storybook Ending" as I thought it was the perfect finish for this fairytale!

This design is a great example of thank you invitation that could be sent out after the event. I can personalize these renderings to include your own personal images! Clients love this feature because it allows you to include any photos that have a lot of meaning.

This is a sneak peak at to what will be at the event! Please come by on June 22nd to see all I have to offer! Looking forward to seeing you there!

Greetings from Paradise.....

I was recently contacted by a client to create a custom card for a vacation he was going on. He wanted something really special to send home to friends and family. He told me one of his favorite places he had visited was Bali, and he also happens to be a surfer. Getting the create juices flowing I decided to create a hut on the water with a surf board and beach cruiser. I am a huge bicycle advocate and really enjoyed building the bike for the project. I wanted to create a paradise scene to suite this particular client. This 3D rendering was so much fun to make! To let you in a little secret the way I created the water was I applied an ocean image on the base and then applied a glass layer above, to make it look like you could walk right in!

For the front of the card I drew a relaxing beach scene which matches perfectly with the interior hut.

This project was so much fun and the client was so happy with the outcome. Right now these cards are traveling the world who knows one might end up in your mailbox.

Contact me with any inquires to purchase this card or have a custom one created for yourself!

When You Wish Upon A Star...

Happy almost spring everyone!!

Shortly before Valentines Day I began a project for a young man (Andrew) who found me through my Etsy shop. He found my products to be unique.

Andrew was going to propose to his girlfriend for Valentine's Day in a hot air balloon. He wanted to make the day special in every way. He explained that his girlfriend loves Disney movies and wanted to incorporate a Disney theme to their day. Andrew's idea was to give his girlfriend Disney themed cards throughout the day. Andrew narrowed it down to four Disney movie themes.
Cindarella (of course), Anastasia, Aladdin, and Rapunzel.

Below are the fronts of the Aladdin and Rapunzel cards.

As soon as I began the project I was immediately excited. Andrew wanted a magical day for his girlfriend, and what is more magical than Disney and fairytales? I loved the concept and enjoyed working on this project! Thanks Andrew!

With each card I wanted to stay true to the Disney theme, while creating a unique and sophisticated design to capture the moment for Andrew and his girlfriend.

For the front of each card I decided to have a castle/tower, this gives a little reminder of the fairytale behind each concept. Below you can see the Cinderella Castle.

Inside of each card I have a 3-D rendering that is sophisticated, unique, and a bit modern while keeping with the Disney theme.

Below you can see the 3-D rendering for the Rapunzel card. A sophisticated and elegant room with a city view to give a feel for the Rapunzel story.

Here you can see the interior of the Cinderella and Aladdin cards. Notice the hot air balloons in place of magic carpets for the Aladdin card, very fitting don't you think? Also, the carriage for the Cinderella card gives sophistication without loosing the theme.

When drawing the front castle of the Anastasia card I had the idea of  Russian nesting dolls (matryoshka dolls) that open into one another. The interior picture overlooks Saint Basil's Cathedral in
Moscow.

This was a fabulous and fun project and I was happy to work with Andrew to make his special day complete. Please contact me directly for more information on Jessica Benari Designs and keep reading, I have more exciting projects and design information to come...

I am so excited to offer custom invitations as well! Working one on one with clients to create invitations  for personal events is such an opportunity to create wonderful pieces. Just as I work with clients on interior design projects I will apply that to creating these invitations. My job as a designer is to speak for clients and create spaces that fit their personalty and style.

Using my 3D rendering skills just as I do for all my projects I am able to insert actual personal photos into renderings. This is such a great way of create custom pieces. Using my drawing skills to draw the front of the cards the possibilities are endless! I am able to offer a truly unique custom product that uses design as the vehicle.

The best part of the cards is that they also act as my business cards! Each one is an example of my designs as they travel the world. I also offer interior design services for all size projects. I love what I do and working with clients allows for that to grow!

Below is a preview for what is to come this year......

Rendering for my birthday card. I wanted to incorporate a safari theme into the interior space. I will be providing a blog with a breakdown with all selections.

This is an example of the custom invitations I will be offering. All the images in the frames can be customized and I can insert personal images. Clients have the option to use designs that I have already created or I can custom create them, we can us the most fabulous materials!

This is another view. Clients have options; either these invitations can be made and sent out or invitations can be sent by email via PDF. It can also be a combination - if there are close family members the invitations could be sent to those, and email PDF's to others. I can change the words in the rendering to say anything and make it any style of font.

This is a closer view of the console. Any detail can be changed so easily.

2013 Christmas Card!!!!!

I am so proud to debut my new Christmas card for 2013! This year I am excited to announce my card will be available for purchase at Olive That in Montclair, NJ. It will also be available for purchase through the internet, please email me at jessebenari@yahoo.com, custom orders are also available.

Each year I like to change the shape of the card, this year it is a Z shaped card. This design allows for more images to be seen on just one card. I drew the front of the card by hand and rendered it with colored pencils, markers, and metallic pens. The reason I wanted to draw this by hand was so I could have a soft quality to balance out the crisp computer renderings inside. The idea of the front of this card is that the viewer is entering a door from the exterior of a house into a elegant holiday scene. As an interior architect I am always fascinated by not only the interior spaces I design, but the exterior spaces as well.

Above is the hand drawing for the front of my 2013 Holiday Card.

3D Rendering Article

Hi Everyone! Please see the article below that the fabulous designer Amy Hirsch wrote about me. 3D renderings are such a great tool for clients as well as to push the design process along. I specialize in bringing these visions to life, please contact me with any questions/inquires - jessebenari@yahoo.com. Stay tuned as this Thursday September 19th I will be hosting Design Night at Williams Sonoma in Upper Montclair, NJ. They have asked me to host the event and I am so excited. More information to come soon!

AAH Design’s 3D Rendering Service

Thanks to the skills and talents of my project manager Jessica, I am pleased to be able to offer my clients an extremely realistic 3D rendering service for our interior design projects.  This is an incredible tool for communicating and planning.  Without being able to see into my clients’ minds, I can’t be sure we are entirely on the same page when visualizing how a space will look with all of the design elements in place.  Not everyone can imagine the way a specific tile will look next to a certain piece of furniture, how how well a light fixture will go with the rest of the room.  By creating a highly detailed computer rendering, I can be confident my clients and I are sharing the same vision.
Using a 3D modeling program called Rhino, Jessica starts with a floor plan and builds walls into the space so we can see what that area is like in real life.  From there, she can assign materials such as wood, glass, or metal to build accessories.  She even assigns specific products, like wallpapers, to areas of the room.  Rhino allows her to create complex things like curves for an extremely accurate picture of the final design.

Adding elements takes a lot of time and skill.
